If an event is scheduled detailed information of the event, date, time and location will be provided. Archives of previous webcast events are made available by the department requesting this service. Please check their websites for past events.

Viewing Instructions for Mac users.

For OS X Snow Leopard and older

Download & Install VLC Player.
Open VLC Player
From the "File" menu, choose "Open Network"
Paste the URL below into VLC, and click the open button

For Quicktime Users

Copy and paste the link below into the "Open URL" under the "File" menu.

For OS X Lion users

Download & Install VLC Player.
Open VLC Player
Open the web page using the Safari browser (other browsers will not work for this function)
Visit the website where you can find the links for your streaming video
Right click or control-click on the video link you wish to play
Choose “Copy Link”
In VLC, choose File->Open Network…
Paste the link into the URL space, and then move to the front of the link and make sure you replace mms:// with http://
Click “Open” and enjoy your video

Florida International University hosted a panel discussion on May 8 covering Facebook’s upcoming initial public offering (IPO) and its implications. FIU experts from a wide array of fields, including business, law, engineering and communication, discussed what to expect in the coming months as the world’s largest social media site goes public. The panel was moderated by The Miami Herald’s Business Editor Jane Wooldridge and streamed live on the Web, where participants from as far as Germany tuned in.
